Author B. Love and an entire girl gang of phenomenal writers will be joining forces in Memphis Tennessee, November 2nd-3rd.

1. For those who may not know you, who are you? What do you do and what are you known for?
“My name is B. Love, but I also write under the pen name Shenaé Hailey. I am a full-time author and publisher, best known for creating rough romance with holy hoodlums and warrior womEn.“
2. How long have you been writing?
“I have been writing professionally for close to four years, unprofessionally since the age of twelve.”
3. You’ve penned a lot of books! Which book would you recommend to a first time reader? And why?
“I would recommend Coffee with a Side of You or In Due Time because those are the books my readers rave about, lol.
4. You’re always engaged with your readers, whether that’s answering questions, proposing new questions/ideas, or just simply engaging with reader feedback and book discussions. Why do you think it’s important to build a relationship with your readers?
“I believe it’s important to make a personal relationship with readers because they are the reason I’m able to live my dream. It’s my way of giving back to them outside of my books. I also believe readers support those that they believe are genuine.”
5. Do your books to stand on its own, or do you typically try to build a body of work with connections between each book?
“I used to always find ways to connect my characters and books, now I prefer standalones.”
6. What are your thoughts on delivering what readers want versus what you want to write?
“I think it’s important to give them what they want from YOU not other authors. It’s more important, though, to make sure you are writing what you want, otherwise you will lose your passion.”
7. B. Love’s Winter Wonderland. The promo is out and tickets are now on sale. What can readers and other authors expect from this event?
“Fun, fun, fun! I don’t want this to be the typical event. I want everyone in attendance to leave with smiles on their faces excitedly anticipating the next event!”
8. What inspired or motivated you to create such an event?
“It is one of the things on my goal list. I want to have a hand in so many things books and entertainment. There aren’t many events for lovers of AA urban and contemporary romance in my city, so I want to change that.”
9. The roster has a great mix of new authors and notable ones. Do you see yourself as the funnel for new authors to bridge the gap between “I want it” and “I’m here now?”
“I didn’t think about it that way, but now that you’ve mentioned it, I will gladly take that role.”
10. You’re known for self-love teaching. What resources do you offer?
“Several classes, books, journals, and a podcast on Spreaker. Just search for B. Love. My self-love resources are available on www.theloveteacher.net”
12. What has influenced you the most as a writer?
“My own personal life. It’s where I draw most of my inspiration. Most of my female characters have pieces of me and the male characters have pieces of the men in my life.”
13. What does literary success look like to you
“Reaching the goals YOU set for yourself, being pleased with the lane YOU’VE created for yourself.”
14. What new releases and/or projects can we look forward to?
“I am currently working on the second installment of my Memphis Hoodlums Series. The first standalone novel, Straddling His Soul, is available now on Amazon.”
